Arma Reforger persistent warfare

Attack on Chevron of Everon Oil Corporation

Attack on Chevron of Everon Oil Corporation is GXA’s modded Arma Reforger persistent-war server and custom Frontline gamemode. US, USSR, and COE fight across connected territory while supplies, oil logistics, base construction, and player decisions shape the campaign. The current 128-player test is playable while the full persistent design remains in development.

A war that remembers what happened

The map is divided into opposing territory, and the front is intended to advance or retreat through combat performance, objectives, sustained control, and logistics. Instead of resetting every match, the battlefield should create natural concentrations of players around contested areas and give each session a recognizable place in a larger conflict.

The design also supports asymmetric factions and objectives. Conventional forces can contest territory through coordinated combined-arms operations, while less conventional groups can be given different objectives and methods rather than behaving as another reskinned army. These systems are introduced in measured releases so each layer can be tested before the next one depends on it.

Current development focus: Oil War logistics

The current development cycle is proving the logistics and economy loop rather than claiming the entire persistent-war design is complete. Oil must be collected, represented visibly as cargo, loaded into appropriate vehicles, transported alongside the ordinary supply system, remain stable while the vehicle moves, and unload without creating destructive physics behavior.

Visible barrels are more than decoration because they communicate vehicle capacity and make logistics understandable without opening a hidden menu. That visual system must still be lightweight, network-safe, free of unintended collision behavior, and synchronized well enough for multiplayer testing. Problems discovered during live driving and unloading tests are treated as evidence for the next version.

How releases are handled

A build is separated into local development, Workshop publication, dedicated-server deployment, server startup, and live gameplay verification. A successful upload does not prove that clients and the server are running matching content, and a successful server launch does not prove that the gameplay loop behaves correctly. Each stage is checked independently so a version mismatch, configuration problem, script failure, or physics defect can be isolated.

Community principles

Frontline is intended to remain free to join and competitive on equal terms. Development notes should clearly distinguish finished behavior from experiments, and community feedback should describe what happened, which build was running, and how the problem can be reproduced. Support does not currently buy access, priority, items, or gameplay advantages.
