Arma 3 persistent campaign

Arma 3 Overthrow persistent campaign server

A cooperative resistance campaign where players build influence, manage limited resources, recruit support, and gradually challenge an occupying force. Campaign progress persists between sessions, making operational reliability part of the gameplay experience.

A campaign shaped by the players

Overthrow combines guerrilla operations, economic pressure, recruitment, logistics, intelligence, and conventional combat. Players decide where to build influence, which targets are worth the risk, and how limited equipment should be used. The persistent save transforms those decisions into a campaign history rather than a collection of isolated missions.

That persistence also raises the operational standard. Server changes must protect the live save, use the intended mission and profile, preserve mod compatibility, and remain recoverable if an update introduces a regression. Configuration and content are inspected before a restart, and service logs are checked afterward instead of assuming a clean console means the campaign is healthy.

Maintaining the environment

The server is maintained on Linux and involves Workshop mod updates, signature validation, custom mission packaging, save preservation, headless-client behavior, performance monitoring, and runtime troubleshooting. Changes to signed mod content are kept separate from custom mission work, and backups are verified before any production change that could threaten campaign progress.

Headless-client work is evaluated through actual ownership and locality evidence rather than broad assumptions about which faction or group should be moved. Performance changes are judged through server behavior, logs, and gameplay results, with realism systems tuned carefully instead of disabled merely because they are demanding.

Before joining

Players should use the exact published mod collection, allow every download to complete, and launch with the current preset. When a connection fails after an update, the most useful first step is to record the exact error and confirm versions rather than deleting the entire local installation. The current connection details and mod instructions will be maintained on this site.
