Objectives, Front Lines and Victory

Territory is connected. US and USSR must fight down their own approach lanes, meet at Morton Junction, and then contest the oil highway toward COE Airport Command.

How capture works

Clear enemy presence and hold the capture zone for 333 seconds. US and USSR may capture only objectives connected to territory they already own. Newly captured sites stabilize for 90 seconds before secure-base logistics become available. Entre-Deux and Provins are optional eastern objectives; they branch from Highway Control and do not block the main advance.

US route from Lamentin

1. Lamentin Coastal HQ → 2. Le Moule → 3. Morton West → 6. Highway Control at Morton Junction.

The route creates an understandable opening front and stops the US from skipping straight to the most valuable industrial objectives.

USSR route from Saint-Pierre

12. Saint-Pierre Coastal HQ → 4. Saint-Pierre North → 5. Morton East → 6. Highway Control at Morton Junction.

Both conventional armies converge on the same highway, turning Morton into the first major shared battle.

The oil highway

From Highway Control, the main route continues through 7. Chotain Oil Refinery, 8. Montignac Highway, and 9. COE Airport Command. Capturing the refinery opens local oil production. Reaching the airfield is intended to deny COE easy access to helicopters and aircraft while bringing the conventional factions into the final stage of the war.

The optional eastern branch reaches 10. Entre-Deux and 11. Provins.

Current victory condition

In the current test, US or USSR must own all 12 strategic bases while no capture is in progress, then hold total domination for 10 uninterrupted minutes. COE currently functions as the defending and delaying faction rather than a domination winner.

Planned full campaign: the long-term design is a persistent war that continues until one faction remains. Persistent player statistics and roleplay groups are planned per faction, and players are intended to switch factions only after their original faction has been eliminated. Those persistence rules are roadmap items, not a claim that they are complete in version 1.2.0.
